Affective Distances
Visual Identity
The Affective Distances project concerns the visual identity
of a temporary exhibition held at the former slaughterhouse in Milan.
The visual identity of Affective Distances stems from the way memory fades. Not as an orderly archive, but as a living, unstable substance: incomplete, fragmentary, never linear. We remember through gaps, through leaps, through details that resurface out of sequence whilst others fade away.
The visual system conveys this fragility, the incomplete logo, the fragment that remains, the white spaces, making the emotional distance between us and what we remember the true focus of the project.
